
If you have a problem with the operation of IC-MinEval,
please check the following before contacting us:
1. Did you install IC-MinEval using the installation
disks?
2. Do you have a valid serial number?
3. Is Excel fully installed, including VBA (Visual
Basic for Applications)?
4. Is the correct version of Excel installed?
5. Did you click on Enable Macros when IC-MinEval
started?
6. Do you have enough memory to run Excel and IC-MinEval?
7. If you are upgrading from an earlier version
have you un-installed your existing version first?
1. Did you install IC-MinEval
using the installation disks?
You must install IC-MinEval using the installation disks for all the
necessary files to be installed correctly.
2. Do you have a valid serial number?
Each copy of IC-MinEval requires the correct serial number to be entered
during installation. If you are sure you have the correct serial number,
but you still cannot install IC-MinEval correctly please contact
us and we will check your installation.
3. Is Excel fully installed, including
VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)?
In order to use IC-MinEval you must have Excel and have installed VBA
(Visual Basic for Applications) when Excel was installed. If you did
not install the full version, you will need to install it as follows:
| i. Quit Excel. |
| ii. Put the Microsoft Office or Microsoft Excel CD
into the CD ROM drive. |
| iii. If a Microsoft Office or Excel window (as appropriate)
does not appear either: |

select the CD-ROM drive in Explorer or double click
on the "My Computer" icon and select the CD-ROM drive. |
| iv. Click on the "Install Microsoft Excel" icon. |
| v. Select the "Add/ Remove" components button. |
| vi. Select the "Data Access" checkbox. |
| vii. Click on the "Continue" button. |
| viii. When the installation has finished, restart
the computer when prompted. |
| ix. When the computer has restarted you should be
able to use IC-MinEval. |
4. Is the correct version of Excel installed?
IC-MinEval requires Excel version 8.0 (Excel 97) or higher to run. To
check this select Help and then System Information in Excel.
5. Did you click on Enable Macros when
IC-MinEval started ?
If you did not, IC-MinEval will not work. Close and then reopen IC-MinEval
and click on Enable Macros.
6. Do you have enough memory to run
Excel and IC-MinEval?
If you do not you will get a Not Enough Memory message and notice problems
with the display. If this is the case you can attempt to increase the
amount of virtual memory to improve the situation as follows:
| i. Under the Windows Control Panel, double click on System. |
| ii. Select the Performance tab. |
| iii. Click on the Let Windows Manage my Virtual Memory settings
option. |
| iv. Click on OK and then OK in the System dialog to finish. If
these items do not describe your problem, please contact our technical
support. |
7. If you are upgrading from an earlier
version have you un-installed your existing version first?
You must un-install your previous version of IC-MinEval
in order for your new version to work correctly. IC-MinEval creates
an un-install file during installation to simplify removal should you
wish to upgrade to a newer version or remove IC-MinEval completely.
To UN-install IC-MinEval:
i. Double click on the"My Computer" icon on your desktop.
ii. Double click on the "Control Panel" icon.
iii. Double click on the "Add/ Remove Programs" icon.
iv. Select "IC-MinEval" from the list.
v. Click on "Add/Remove" and follow the on-screen prompts. IC-MinEval
will now have been completely removed from your system.
